Assess VMware snapshots before migration: consolidation, application consistency, disk space, rollback, and conversion readiness.
Snapshots are not a migration rollback plan. Inventory and consolidate them where appropriate, validate application consistency, retain an independent recovery point, and confirm disk capacity before conversion.
Include snapshot status in workload discovery and use VMDK to QCOW2 for conversion planning.
